A Blog is Born

ALL RIGHT ALREADY - I'm in!  Over the course of the last year I have hopelessly and completely become an addict.  I never knew following blogs could be so damn enticing.  Now, I've taken the plunge.  I have wanted a blog for the last year and kept thinking, sure when I have more time.  I now know that as depressing as it seems, I will never have more time than 24 hours in a day.  Yup, 24.  I know you are shocked too.

I've joined the blogging world today because I finally had the ah-ha moment I was waiting for regarding my blog name.  It evolved around the idea of barking less.  Sounds serene, right?  This idea is two-fold.  First, I have a relatively short fuse at times and can "bark" like the royal, sassy bitch that I am.  Over the last couple of years I have been trying to delay my reaction time involving many things, and essentially learn to "bark less".  I thought about the concept of "no barking" and felt that it would be an absurd Utopia and an unrealistic standard.  Plus, not too healthy, as there are plenty of things that everyone should bark loudly at.  Second, I have two very wonderful dogs, Samantha and Dakota.

Unfortunately, they have developed the nasty habit of barking out of boredom.  My house is across the street from a park and the side wall of my backyard is against a main street.  Many of my neighbors walk to the park involves passing by my wall.  My dogs love this.  They run along the side wall yelling to any passerby, "TAKE ME WITH YOU!"  Or at least it feels that way.  Mostly they yell it to the good dog owners who still walk their dogs.

I used to walk my dogs.  Before I had twin baby girls at home.  My happy household of 4, became the blessed 6, and my ability to move freely became drastically restricted.  Now I can't leave the house without the assistance of a minivan or a double stroller.  Don't judge, but even the thought of trying to walk two dogs at the same time as pushing a double stroller makes my knees week.  Not in the, "Whoooooa honey that's HOT" kind of way, but in the, "Oh dear god, NO"  kind of way.

Here I am - a royal sassy bitch with my two dogs - all trying to bark less.
